Please form an orderly queue for this boy. He's an 8y old working cocker boy who needs a home

Snoopy is his name. He would really benefit from some obedience training (pulls on the lead and recall can be hit and miss) and even though I only spent a short time with him he has a lovely temperament --- great with other dogs, older kids (not young ones as he may knock them over), cats, people (I cut off some matts off him today and cleaned his ears and he was just a wriggle monster but didn't grumble at all).

He's been neutered today and is at the moment in kennels but hopefully we might have a foster home nearby.

He will need an active home that can realise his potential and give him a new lease of life, and someone to spend a lot more time with him as he's been left on his own for far too long every day in his previous home (for a few years just left in the garden to his own devices, and once he was allowed to live in the house he was still left for long hours and now had four walls to bounce off --- he's housetrained and as far as I know he's not destructive).

I would prefer that prospective owners would also do their research into the breed, ie working type cocker. This lad has been rehomed twice already where he was in homes who didn't really understand his requirements.

He's being rehomed by Four Paws Animal Rescue (South Wales). Any prospective owners will have to undergo a homecheck and will have to come down to Wales to meet him.

He's gorgeous Penny  :luv:

It sounds like his new life is really starting now and I hope it's not long before he's off to a lovely new home (hopefully a lovely new COL home!)  :D

I might be brave on Saturday and take him with me for the meet and greet at PAH (may be I can then use treats with him and try him with a clicker --- couldn't this morning as he was due in the vets)

Took this lovely boy out today for our meet and greet and he was lovely --- he barked a lot when we were outside the store but I worked out that was something to do with each time a car drew up in the car park nearby and he kept trying to attract the attention of the passengers as if they'd come for him (guess he's only been away from his old owners a few days).

Once inside the PAH store he was fine and was really brilliant with everyone that came to say hello to him --- he gives very luffly cocker snogs (Clare at the kennels was giving him a bath when we arrived to pick him up, and he'd behaved really well for that and kept kissing her).

No one can believe he's 8 years old as he certainly doesn't look it or act it

This lovely boy would love a new home --- he's spent most of his life stuck in a garden so he really does need to get on with what cockers love best

Poor Snoopy  :'(  I love this boy... has there been no interest in him at all Penny?

If he needs a foster home I'd love to do it but I'm so far away  :-\
