Tammy at Wiccaweys - almost blind golden cocker.
« on: May 20, 2007, 12:11:34 PM »
http://www.wiccaweys.co.uk/start.html

Im not sure if anyone remembers Tammy from Limerick Animal Welfare but she will be finding her way to the UK soon courtesy of Wiccaweys and she needs a home. She is absolutely beautiful but has suffered a great deal. I think it would be so lovely to see her rehomed via COL and watch her blossom.  :luv:  :luv: :luv: OH won't be convinced..... is there anyone out there who can give her a home!!!

This is what they have to say about her.....

'Tammy is a beautiful Golden Cocker who is coming to Wiccaweys from our friends at Limerick Animal Welfare. Tammy is around eight years old. Tammy was found wandering aimlessly around a housing estate. Tammy had huge matts of knotted hair hanging from her ears. Her rear quarters were also very matted.

The knots on Tammy's ears were so heavy that when she walked her head almost touched the ground. Tammy was such a sad sight. When she was picked up, it was realised she could not see. Nobody in the estate recognised Tammy.

The vet diagnosed her as having cataracts in both eyes. Tammy has little or no vision. Tammy was sedated to have the knots removed. The knots on her ears weighed 1.5lbs. Tammy is a very sweet affectionate girl. She will put her head on your lap for cuddles. She craves affection and reassurance '  :'(

THEN  :'(  >:(

She is absolutely gorgeous.  Poor baby :'(  I would love her but I don't think Kali and her energy would class us as a gentle home :-\

My god I didn't even know what that was hanging from her head, how awful, that must of been dreadful to drag around, poor girl.

What a beautiful beautigul girl.  How can these people do things like this.  That type of knots dont develop in 5 mins.   Those eyes, she is just right for a cuddle.  If only i had a bigger house and could take her.  I really hope she finds her forever home soon.
