Turns out he is a lemon roan, and is 9 months old, Penny please will you merge the two threads if  possible, thankyou (Sorry to be a pain  :-\ )

He could be all show - some show-type orange roans carry very little coat (we've bred several who look quite similar to this boy in the coat department)

Got all confused there when posts merged, trust me to double up yet again on a rescue dog... His tail looked partially docked which is why i thought worker plus paw hair very short. He's the spit of Krumble apart from longer snout. I never get it right though!

Mum to cockers Lily, Lance and Krumble and lurchers Arwen and Lyra. Hooman sister to Pepper, 13.

His ears are quite high set, his muzzle is fairly long and 'clean' looking and he looks fairly rangy from the photos which made me think he was a cross. He reminds me a bit of Annette's Buddy who is 25% worker 75% show.

I was going to say he looked more orange roan than lemon roan

Long in the leg/good ground clearance  :005:  Like he could cover a lot of ground in his stride! It's hard to tell from that photo though, it could be the angle.
