Day 2.....with Freddie (Now called Freddie as my kids refused to call him Snoopy as they said he didn't look like a Snoopy)

3 things i've learnt in the last 12 hours......

1) Small black dog likes cups of tea (especially MINE!)
2) Small black dog doesn't just LIKE kids, he absolutely LOVES them.
3) Small black dog can yodel all night long and sounds like my 8 year old playing the cornet!.

More updates later on.

Aww, he looks lovely. He's make a great 'partner in crime' for Roxy!! They sound very similar - she LOVES kids, always makes sure she gets to drink any cup of tea left on the floor (silly guests!), and also likes to start yodelling competitions!! Not sure I could cope with two though!! Esp with little Rio!

He'll make someone a lovely pet  :luv: Looking forward to hearing more updates and photos!

Small black dog is starting to sound a lot like Bonnee  :lol2:  Has he chilled out at all yet?  Food seems to make a big difference to my little bundle of energy - even raw lamb sent her doolally  :005:

different rescues have different requirements - I can't comment on the suitability of your friends as potential owners,  but I will say that with a 7 month old working cocker who needs a lot of training and attention that full time working parents may not be what the rescue envisage for this boy.

Have read the rest of this thread and feel exhausted, although one of their collies is like this (still, at seven years old, I think she is), maybe two nutcases would have been too much.

I like to look at the piccies of working types, but I'm sticking to the showgirls thank you

Thank goodness there are lovely people out there like you all that will take them on though!

Update-

1) Small black dog has had a bath and met the vets - both ok!
2) Small black dog doesn't like being left on his own without another dog/ or person to play with.
3) Small black dog will chew ANYTHING which is not nailed down :005:
4) Small black dog likes to 'help' in the garden - this consists of digging up my bulbs and trying to re-arrange my veg patch :D.
5) Small back dog has learnt to woof at the window cleaners (Kester my lab taught him - thanks Kester!)

I think i love small black dog  - this is going to be one thats hard to give up.

And he makes a good footwarmer :005:

He looks so sweet. Good luck with him. We rescued a dog seven years ago and sadly had to have him put to sleep due to old age. He was about 7 or 8 years old when we got him. Hope you have as many wonderful times with you rescue dog as we did with ours.

Snoopy/Freddie is actually looking for a new home --- Ali is only fostering him for Many Tears until he gets his new home

fingers crossed  ;) for 'operation Freddie' :lol2:

I keep catching my husband playing with Freddie behind my back, so its looking promising!

Seriously though, it would help alot if the little wotsit didn't keep nicking stuff and taking it down the garden :005:(Freddie, not OH)

I'll keep you posted - taking Freds to training on Wednesday for a go at puppy Agility and i might see if he want a go at tracking!
