I so hope he can come up to Scotland and live with us, but I have to be realistic - he will tick all the right boxes for so many people and will got a forever home very soon.

Rocky is recovering well from his op yesterday - having had a wart removed from his shoulder and 2 lipomas from his chest.
He also has badly inflamed ears which he is being treated for.
He will not be re-homed until he is fully recovered and stitches are out.

Rocky will be assessed more thouroughly over the next couple weeks as he has been grumpy and growled a few times - this could well be due to him being in discomfort, especially in regards to his ears.

He is also on a diet which is proving to be easy atm as he so far refuses the dog food i feed him  ::)
He weighs just over 20kg - ideally he needs to be around 14kg.

He doesn't like being left atm and will moan and cry but he hasn't had time to settle yet so will see how he goes and if it will be something that needs addressing and overcoming.

He is a  :luv: boy, sending healing thoughts for a quick recovery of all his little problems  :-*

I do admire all you foster folks, you do an amazing job for all these lost little souls.  :blink:

I'm not going to be able to offer Rocky a new home. I am really sad, but my OH just doesn't want us to have another dog. While I could pretty easily talk him round, I think I need to respect his feelings.

Sorry to hear that Julie.  It must have been hard to have actually given up on the idea of Rocky.  Big hugs and sending mesmerizing thoughts to your OH........ you do want another dog... you do want another dog... you do want another dog........ :-*

Hi, I am rather new to this site - I have been reading all about Rocky and am completely in love!  :luv: We have been looking for a rescue cocker for months with no luck, so I have filled in the forms and sent them back.

I imagine that hundreds of people also have their fingers crossed for this gorgeous boy.

Anyway, I will just have to wait and hope. Wishing Rocky all the best for a speedy recovery xxx
