 ph34r ph34r ph34r

I cannot I cannot I cannot  ph34r

I can however recommend giving a home to an oldie  ;)

Luke is from the Dogs Trust and has somehow managed to live longer than anyone expected  :shades: otherwise I would be calling dogs trust again. I cant cope with 5  ::)

It is spooky tho as I call Luke, 'Luke Duke'  ph34r

How on earth do dogs that age end up in rescue? :'( He sounds a fabulous boy :luv:

I was wondering the same thing Beth

Lukes owner died and her family couldn't cope with or keep him  :-\ so thats how some of them end up in rescue

Come on Lisa you know you want him! No matter how little time he has left (or how much) doesn't he deserve to spend it in a loving home. ;)
He sounds adorable and he looks so sweet. :luv: :luv:

Lisa.....you have to ask yourself how much that actually matters to you  ;)

When I picked Luke up in June no one thought he see another couple of months...those months passed and he put on weight, was much steadier on his legs, (he was in poor condition)...then we had a holiday in Wales and he improved even more....then we got to Christmas ....I dont need to go on! He will be 16 in a couple of weeks and it realy does look like he is going to make it. But if he doesn't then hey I have given him a pretty nice bed and filled his belly well, so losing him will be sad, but  ;)

Give the centre a call and find out a bit more about him, even go and see him, then make your mind up.

Luke is not an easy dog, but I knew that and the changes imhim are really rewarding. Dukey sounds like an absolute love in comparison! I only wish I had the time, but another really would not be fair on the groovy gang right now.

Go on Lisa.

My OH had a rescue greyhound who only lived a year after he had her, but the pain of losing her wasnt anywhere near as bad as losing a "normal dog" because he knew that he had given her the best of everything for that year and that if it wasnt for him, she could have been stuck in a rescue centre for that year.

There is something so amazing about having a rescue dog - there isnt a feeling in the world equal to it. It makes you feel lucky to be a part of their life, and they seem so grateful for the love you give them.

Go on Lisa - you know you want to.  :shades:  Obviously he won't have a great deal of time but you can make a huge difference to the last bit of his life by giving him a loving home  :luv:
