Well, the last thing OH said before going to sleep was "We're going to have to carry him up the stairs to bed", I assured him that he would probably be happy to sleep downstairs! :D

So, I've taken that as a yes and currently my ex-boss is finding out all about him to make sure we are all suitable for each other! :lol2:

YAY!!!!!!!   :D :D
Dogs are natural optimists and believe if they stare hard enough and long enough, the icing on the cake could be theirs.

Zen Dog...he knows not where he is going, for the ocean will decide. Its not the destination....its the glory of the ride.

Looks as if it's a go.

I'm sure your OH will just love Dukey.  There is something about old ones that endears them to you.

Too true.  :luv: :luv:All they tend to want is a small meal, a short walk, lots of love and somewhere comfy to sleep (have a look at the photo of Ali and me on the are you brave enough thread) :005:
Hope it works out  ;)

Not sure yet, he has only just been transferred down, and the 5 hour journey back up so soon may be too much for him as he is so elderly and not in good health. :'(

However, he is not being kept in a kennel, he is in Oakfield where the really old and infirm dogs live, so that's one good thing.

So wish I'd known he was up here and he would have had a home ages ago. My parents have missed on 3 oldie cockers now and I had been scouring everywhere looking for one. Boo. Is it just old age or does he have other problems?
