Wish George luck
« on: September 23, 2009, 03:24:57 PM »
I had to take George to the Vets yesterday, i noticed the previous night that he had been licking at something and noticed yesterday morning his paw was soaking wet and what to me looked like a grass seed entry, anyway i took him to the vets and the nurse could see no sign of any grass seed, but there is quite a large gaping wound, which they possibly going to stitch up on Friday along with the removal of a small lump i found on his elbow, the nurse has done a biopsy on this and looks like it is just a cyst, but i would obviously feel better having it removed, so my poor boy came home yeserday complete with elizabetan collar, which i am afraid i had to give up on, as it was stressing him out so much, so he is now sporting a sock  ;) I have to say he was quite good at the vets, even it was just an examination, he does tend to get rather stressed, perhaps having his baby brother Hamish in the surgery with him, helped to relax him :D
So please wish George luck for Friday morning, when he has his what i hope will be a minor op and stitch up. i am on holiday for this week, thank Dog, in the library at the mo  :lol2:  so i shall update early next week. :shades:

Positive thoughts coming your way from sunny Devon! I'm sure George will be fine - it's just one of those things our little friends put us through, I'm afraid.

Just to let you know that George had his lump removed last Friday, they left his other paw alone, as it seemed to be healing nicely on its own, we went back yesterday for his post op check up and i am pleased to say, that he has been given the all clear :luv: :D the Vet thinks that the lump was just a cyst, but will keep it,at the surgery, just in case we decide to have the lump sent away for tests.
thanks for all the best wishes :luv:
