Scurries
« on: February 15, 2012, 10:01:19 AM »
The first of the year is on a week Saturday and Sunday 25/26th of February in Nottingham http://www.shootingshow.co.uk/gundogs-a-scurries for anybody who is interested (bit far for me) Lintran transport box is the top prize
Then there is the Shugburough on March 3/4th http://www.selbygamefair.co.uk/Category-284/Shugborough
Our first will be  10th/11th March http://www.contour.uk.net/westcountrygamefair/index.php
Thoresby on the 17/18th March http://www.livingheritagecountryshows.co.uk/show/the-thoresby-country-craft-fair/51.php
The Kent on the 24/25th March http://www.contour.uk.net/kentgamefair/index.php
Chaos wll resume from last year no doubt but its all good fun. You never know Lulu might behave on two shows on the trot :lol2:. Tia is also entering this year as last year she only had one go and did ok
Anybody else attending

They sound like fun!

Is there a list anywhere of all of them? Or does anyone know of one in Wales?

Thanks!

The cocker is a rescue dog and wouldn't retrieve at all when I first got him. It has taken months of clicker training (not something I have ever done before) to get a reliable retrieve. He has definitely got the speed but is not confident enough on very long or blind retrieves yet. He is getting there though .... :D

The only one they do in Wales is the glan usk which we helped run last year
There are a few more the Welsh scurry open, BASC one in north Wales, heart of Wales,  and the welsh game fair in llanbiddie.
There is also a new one in Herefordshire the end of June which should be good from what I am hearing. 6 different scurries for advanced, novice and juniors.

Sorry spaniel04 we can't say the s word in our house :lol2: where we train there are 3 cockers and the rest are the s word ones and it's a long standing joke between us and them. It's getting to the stage where we don't care where we come overall as long as it's in front of them :005:
Come and say hi if you see us two Black cockers usually with two weimeramers.
