Hi All,
I got Flories insurance renewal today (Argos Platinum) and it's gone up from £15 to £28 per month. She's 1, fit as a fiddle and we've made no claims to date and she has no pre-existing conditions.
I've been on line and got a quote for identical levels of cover from John Lewis (also Lifetime cover). They're quoting £19 per month.
I've been on the phone to Argos and they're not prepared to match the JL price or even shift down a bit.
I'm minded to move- to either JL or someone else- anyone got any thoughts? Is this common at the moment?

Going to watch this because Ellies
renewal from Argos will be due soon
Don't know how much yet but I've
already got a quote from Axa at £10.46
a month.

I would definately change, there are lots more out there that are more reasonable.
-
Personally i would def. change it simply because of the huge increase in her premium :o
You have given Argos a chance to negotiate & as they haven't been at all helpful then i would move my business to a company that is. :shades:

I'm with Argos but renewal not due just yet. If I were in your position I would move without a doubt. I'm expecting them to hike my premiums up. so if I can move to another insurer, I will. That's an unreasonable increase so tell them to get lost :005:

If you can get the same or better cover I would definitely change - and John Lewis are pretty good ;)
-
If there are no pre-existing conditions, yes, I would change. The reason why there was such a big price hike is most likely because you got a discount last year as a new customer, which you now don't get anymore.

Charlie's with Argos & has just received his renewal. Must go & check it carefully

I'm with Argos Platinum and Odie's renewal isn't due till May but when I renewed last May, for his 2nd year, the premiums had gone up massively. I'd not claimed and there hasn't been any problems etc and I managed to negotiate them to £200 for the year. If they want any more this May, they can whistle for it >:( :lol2:

Axa Lifetime insurance is really good, and they underwrite a lot of the other Insurances.
