Wilf's no longer got a lump!
« on: November 06, 2003, 06:10:15 PM »
Wilf's no longer got a lump on his ear or a lumpy lymph node as he's now lost part of his ear and the lymph node. Bet he looks dead 'ard now with his stitched up ear and stitches across the top of his chest.

Just had a couple of calls from Cambridge and all has gone well with the surgery. Wilf came out of the anaesthetic really quickly and has even eaten his tea and is wagging his tail.

Not sure when they want to send him home though as they want to monitor his progress and make sure there's no oedema from the lymph node op.

Have had a call at 8.15 this evening to say I can go and pick Wilf up tomorrow. I've packed Ruby off to a friends as my train goes at 5.50 a.m. and I doubt if she'll want me knocking on her door at 5!

Its all a bit of a rush so the only way I can do it is by train. Vet nurse here suggested I take a small blanket to protect his neck. Thank goodness he only weighs just under 3 bags of sugar. He should be all right as he's still quite well in himself and he's going to get carried most of the way. He'll probably relish all the attention.

Glad to hear Wilf recovered well from surgery Penny. Make sure he gets every one of those hugs and kisses that have been sent to him ;D Although maybe best not to do it when hes showing off his wounds to his mates ;) 8)

Glad to hear Wilf is coming home  :) Isn't it amazing how they can be scoffing down their food & wagging their tails so soon after major surgery! I'm sure he will lap up all the sympathy & attention he'll get on the journey home & why not, he deserves it :)
