Hi thanks for your replies and advice to date.
I've just got back and the vet thinks it may be a histyicoma (sorry if I've spelt it wrong). He wants him in tomorrow to remove it and send it away for a biopsy, he said it was quite uncommon in a dog of paddy's age to have one. As if this wasn't bad enough for him (and us) to go through this, but we are also supposed to be going on holiday on wednesday and the dogs are booked into kennels.
I've spoken to the kennel owner (who is an experienced dog breeder) and he said not to cancel our holiday, that he has been through it with his dogs and that paddy will be fine and if he needs a vet visit, he'll take him for us.
I just don't know what to do. We were due to stay in a hotel in poole on wednesday night and then get the ferry to cherbourg early thursday morning and are due to return on tuesday.
I've checked and we can change the ferry to friday morning but I'm not sure I want to go at all now.
