Title: Hello Again
Post by: sarahb2206 on March 31, 2020, 03:08:58 PM
Hi Everyone  Its been a while since I was last here.  My beautiful Bramble passed away 2 years ago aged 12, and since then we have had a pretty dreadful time - this year was supposed to be the start of the rest of my life! Hmmmm......   Long story short - I was diagnosed with melanoma, spent last year having treatment and am now looking forward to living again - but in lockdown until June....    I will be searching for a puppy (or older dog) in the next few weeks to join us when all this madness is over.
The biggest thing I miss from Bramble is when I come home and she's not sat there by the front door with a slipper / sock / dirty underwear / anything she can grab to give me as a welcome home present!
Bless!!!  There is just something about Cockers and their "ive got such a hard life" look on their face!!!

big hugs to all (human & fury), and hope you are all keeping safe & well.

Hello, and welcome back!

Sorry to hear you've had such a tough time, so many hard challenges all in a row. And sorry about your Bramble    :luv:

I know that cocker-look very well, no-one can look as miserable as a cocker. Yet they are somehow the happiest little creatures in the world as long as they have their human and a dirty sock.
I hope you can find a dog to join your family soon and that the world calms down so you can start enjoying the rest of your life fully.

thank you for your welcomes!
I think its going to be rather difficult to get another Cocker!!  I have replied to a few adverts, and all the pups have gone withing a couple of hours of the advert being placed!!!  I didnt phone a chap until 8.30 this morning as I was being "polite" - and he'd been getting calls all through the night!!!
Hey Ho!!
For now I will content myself with reading the posts, looking at the pictures and having lye-ins - which will disappear as soon a a furry one comes across the doorstep! xxxx

I would wait as its not really the right time to get a pup plus hard to socialise and nowhere to get vaxed - many vets are only seeing clients for more immediate or urgent things. Forget the ads though (they are either backyard breeders or dealers) and begin your search with the cocker spaniel club in your area for a decent pup. Good luck

Hello, nice to have you back.  Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and subsequent treatment, I hope you are recovering well.  Your pup will find you, don't worry, you know what cockers are like!
