Hi everyone,
I'm a new Cocker owner, this is my puppy, Bobby, he'll be 10 weeks old tomorrow:-

He's a beautiful little boy, but quite a handful. He's KC registered and a show type. I've been browsing some of your existing puppy threads and have found welcome reassurance that his incessant bite play is completely normal :D

Hi Neil and Bobby
Welcome to CoL.
What a lovely pupster. Enjoy every second while he's tiny they grow so fast. Yes the cockerdie biting is completely normal and it does end. Cocker pups are adorable, willful and bags of fun. They will just go and go.and so My key tip would be ensure Bobby gets regular periods of rest everyday.

Hello and welcome.
I am sure Bobby is an  really. He looks far to sweet to be naughty.

Oh he is most handsome!

Ooh and I meant to say hello! Big waves from me and my lively, lovely 15 week old Leo. It is good to know that there are others out there who have little cockerdiles too!

Ohh he's a handsome chap. Welcome.

Hello and welcome to COL. He is just adorable :luv: :luv: enjoy him
We have Bonnie, a 20 month, black, working type (ex-cockerdile) :005:
Oh those teeth....they still give me nightmares but they do grow out of biting and then they become sweet and gentle, with just a hint of nutty hyperness left ;)

You have lots of fun to look forward to! I'm saying hello immediately after bathing a very sad looking 18 week old teddy who weed in his pen and all over himself and looked thoroughly ashamed even though we didn't even mention it :005:
Just to reassure you it's the first accident in a couple of weeks and the biting is now only when he is over excited and needs a nap.
I also would recommend lots of nap time.

Hi Neil :D

Hello Neil
That looks like a grand little pup you have there.
I am currently the humble and devoted servant of an 18 month old working cocker spaniel/cavalier cross we got in May from Many Tears Rescue in South Wales. Before him I had a black show type for just over 14 years.
You will have a lot of fun over many years to come with your little friend!

Hi I am very new here too and my boy is 17 months now.
I think most of us have been through it.
When ollie was a tiny one he used to bite a bit and when he did I used to show that it is not pleasant and importantly gave him an alternative. Like when he is biting my slipper I would say - no this is mum's slipper and would immediately give him one of his toys he could tear to bits.
I am not experienced at all and I read about it somewhere and it did help a lot. Very soon he started to distinguish what is his and he can bite and what is ours.
Yours is a lovely looking chap.

A beautiful pupster. We have blue roan sisters who will be two next month but remember the cockerdile phase well!
