« on: December 17, 2014, 03:33:23 PM »
my dog managed to get hold of and eat some fox poo this morning, she was quiet this afternoon and now has dark coloured diarrhea, is this normal.  im worried as she is normally full of life and never gets an upset stomach.  thanks.

I agree, ask the vet, be interested to know what they say.

Chaz went through a few poo eating episodes, including fox poo, when he was younger but thankfully, after a few uses of a muzzle during a walk  ;) and an improved "leave" command, seems to have grown out if it.

He didn't get diarrhoea and his behaviour didn't change but the smell around his face and mouth was  :fear2:

The muzzle was advised by our vet who also told us that the worming products we used, Advocate monthly and Milbemax quarterly, would take care of any nasties that may be in the poo.
