Yellow spots on bed
« on: December 19, 2014, 12:03:06 PM »
My cocker often sleeps on my bed, and every now and then I notice an awful lot (I'm talking about 10/15) small yellow stains around the bottom of the bed where he sleep. He sleeps under the covers so they're really easy to notice on my white bed sheet. When I look closely at his bed, there are a few there too. He also licks himself for a while when he wakes up. I let him out before bed and as soon as I wake up, and recently I've even been waking up paranoid and letting him out at 3am but he never seems desperate for a wee! He is 1 and a half and has not been neutered.

Has anyone experienced this or know any possible solutions? I know the best thing would be to take him to the vets, I just wanted to see if there were any simpler solutions as he is such a baby when it comes to the vet!

Thanks!

It depends if the drops appear over a period of time or just after one nights sleeping there.  If it happens over a few days and there is no smell and no discharge then it is likely just to be a drop of urine and I wouldn't worry.

It's many spots appearing from just one night. Normally it happens about once or twice a week, but sometimes he stays on my bed and there are no problems, I check every morning and one morning there's nothing there, the next theres lots of yellow stains! They don't smell urine-like at all though

If it is not urine and he has not been neutered could it be  that other discharge from his penis. Maybe he has got over excited whilst asleep  ;)
