Having had a huge hike on Morgan's insurance with M&S I'd been looking around again for insurance.
I'd asked Rhona about Halifax as I knew she has policies with them to ask if they have huge price hikes each year, which at the moment (touch wood) they don't. She pointed me in the direction of this thread.
So I got a quote from them and for the basic insurance £132 and extra insurance £226, which equates to £11 and £18.83 respectively with a £50 excess. Thats quite a bit more than mentioned on here and I don't know why Morgan, American Cocker, who is just over 1 and has had no visits to the vet other than for vaccinations and castration would cost more.
Wandering whether its the breed difference or where I live I decided to get a quote for Barney, English Cocker who is coming up 2. His quote was quite a bit lower! Basic £106 and Extra £180, equating to £8.83 and £15 respectively. So why Yanks are more expensive to insure than the English I have no idea. ::)
However its still better than the £25 a month and £70 excess M&S want. >:(
