She is so adorable, I especially love the one of her at 8 days old, I think it is the ears that do it for me.   :D
Well done you for persevering with this special little girl, she really is a little fighter.   :luv:

She's a real fighter ;)

When I registered my pups with the kennel club I gave my little boy a name befitting his struggle in the early days. :D

Good luck again. :luv:

Thanks guys  :D

Am madly in love with the little mite, so we will definitely be keeping her  :luv:

Tracey - Have tried her with the bottle but she just can't get it in her mouth yet  :005: She did have a good try thou, maybe next week  :D

She can take about 5mls at a time now, bless her. Mad that its only a teaspoonful! Her eyes are not open yet at 10 days! fingers crossed.

Re: The 7 day old pictures - I wondered who she reminded me of  :005:

Lilly has had a set back  :'(
She has a really bad eye infection. I can't believe it, yesterday she was doing so well, and then suddenly
her eye is twice the size and oozing. I am so worried about her. I can't believe she has gone down hill so quickly.
She is dehydrated and not very responsive  :'(
She is on Synulox to help her fight off the infection, and I managed to get a bag of fluids so I can give her subcut
injections to keep her hydrated. Other than bathing it, I don't know what else to do.

Any suggestions?

Sorry I have no advice either.  Poor Lilly. Come on little one  :luv: you've already shown what a fighter you are, you can beat it. Healing cocker vibes winging their way to you all from Fern. Thinking of you and everything crossed.

Try putting honey and water (more honey than water, water just added to help with the syringing) in your syringe and just keep squirting a bit into her mouth every so often, the honey will help sustain her if she's not taking food and obviously the subcutaneous infusions will also help keep her hydrated.

I hope she picks up again. Fingers crossed for you all.

Sorry just read this, how old is she?? and how is she today  :embarassed:
I've had this B4 if her bad eye isn't open yet you must very carefully open her eye to releave the pressure that it's putting one the eye itself and you also must clean up the eye use cooled boiled water many times aday!!
It should clear up quite guickly........Go with the honey & water..are you feeding her with a syringe!!
I've PM'd you too
