Pasteurella
« on: December 09, 2003, 08:43:18 PM »
Help needed!

Any one had problems with their dog/s (male) with pasteurella in the reproductive tract?

did regular antibiotics clear it up?
at this moment in time it's costing 36 quid acourse. but the best bit is there are other tablets that I decided against for the moment which are £80 a course!!!!

I have looked into it abit but had my fire put out when two different vets from the same practice gave conflicting info about possible cure namely the  the chop! :?

Any info would be great

thanks in advance

Good birds on the day are only as good as the dogs that put them there!.........If it\'s still moving send the dog!

Don't know much about pasteurella Ian except that research has shown that it's normal for healthy dogs & bitches to have this bacteria in their reproductive tracts. I only remember this because the subject came up on another forum recently in relation to a bitch & I looked it up on Google. Hope someone else can give you some more information - maybe Gill can help?
