Only a couple more days to go!!
Monty was chosen for us really.
When I initially contacted the breeder she had 2 puppies still available, Monty and Merlin but when I arrived Monty was the only one left. It was fate really, they are such a gorgeous bunch of puppies that I don't think I could have decided if I'd had the whole litter to choose from!
Having spent hours watching/cuddling Monty- he seems quite a chilled out little chap, although he does like chewing fingers at the moment so we have found lots of "cocker friendly" things for him to play with when he comes home!
Just over a week ago I moved my kitten's (7 months old) bed, scratching post and toys into the utility room and put up Monty's crate in the kitchen. Cleo has had a good smell of all the doggy bits and pieces and has enjoyed investigating the crate. I plan on putting a stair gate across the utility/kitchen door so that she can escape from Monty if she wants to and I'm sure she will spend plenty of time on the kitchen worktops and table
. All that remains is for me to keep everything crossed that she will eventually accept him.
