My Inca did the same last summer, we call her Dinky Inky because she is tiny, but she also went on to have 9 babies, all ranging from 8 -10oz

Managed to get my diddy man latched on for 1/2 hour this afternoon, put the other pups in a separate box because they seem to be pushing him off, I sat in the whelping box and held him in position, but he had a good feed, even if it killed my back.....lol.  Even Jasmine was looking at me as if to say 'Oi, get out my bed'  :005:

Jasmine must have started to worry she had a giant human baby to feed too!   :lol2: ;)  Whelping boxes are not the easiest things to get in and out of for humans.  ;)

Just a quick update to say thanks for all the advise, my diddy man is doing really well, getting stronger, definitely more active.  He's feeding from Jasmine without any assistance, first day he dropped to 4.8oz but is now 6.1oz.  He latches on and refuses to be knocked off by his bigger siblings.

Was logging on to ask how the little one is getting on.   That is fantastic news, he sounds like a real little fighter, bless him.  :luv:  Hope he continues the same way.  :D  I bet he ends up a real little character.

Just another quick update to let you know how our little guy is getting on, he's now 10 days old and weighing 11.6oz, gaining approx 30grms a day which is excellent.....his siblings are all around the 2lb mark, so compared to them he still looks teeny, but doing exactly the same as his siblings, just as lively just as vocal  :005:

No, no name yet, but if anybody has any suggestions that would be great, I try not to name them myself as I get too attached, I wait until their new owners come to visit and tell me what they intend calling them

Just caught up with this thread & so pleased your wee diddy man is making great progress  :luv:  Well done you for keeping an extra special eye on him  :shades:
Like humans they all come in different shapes & sizes  :luv:  & sometimes the little ones end up having the biggest personalities (our little tinkerbell to name one  ;) )
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!

That's really good news Sharon - glad the little chap is doing well now :luv:

I'll close this now but if you want to chat about the litter further or post pics etc, the Litter Plans & Safe Arrivals board is there for you (subject to the usual)
