Poor frustrated Pheobe....... :005:

Zen still not performing but is trying very hard. He seems to get fed up very quickly and gives up. I'm sure it will happen eventually, it's just a matter of time.  :P

Took Phoebe to another dog yesterday and they were tied in about 30 seconds. :clapping:

Glad you got her mated okA few years ago,My friend was given a male dog as his breeder wanted to breed with him but he just wasnt interested. She(my friend)also had a bitch, being very, very carefull when she came into season, she was intending to have her speyed afterwards, she thought the bitch was starting to get a bit fat round the middle about 5 weeks after her season, knowing they hadnt been together(and the past history of the male)she took her to the vets only to be told SHE WAS IN PUP DUE IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS TIME!!!!!! She was in total shock.6 days later she had 6 puppys. We still laugh about the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION,as she never left them on there own and they never got together while she was in season. One of lifes little mysteries. :005:and ,no,she couldnt have got out to another male.

I know absolutely nothing about any of this but it's a really interesting thread. I always just assumed that if you put an intact dog with an in season bitch they would just "have at it"!! I'm wondering whether the fact that your 2 girls are also in season could be distracting him? Just my musings. I'll probably get corrected!  ;)
