Where to start?

There's plenty of variations to consider, including feeding 100% meat and bone. I feed 75-80% raw meat and bone, 20-25% raw vegetables.

There are commercial foods such as Natural Instinct http://www.naturalinstinct.com/ and Honeys http://honeysrealdogfood.com/ and they could be a good starting point for you to read about the different options before deciding what to feed.

I feed Natural Instinct but also buy from a cheaper local supplier that sells the same type of meat/bone/veg. mix and also buy fresh or frozen hearts and liver, chicken wings and carcasses, and feed tinned pilchards once a week or sometimes raw Sprats if I can buy them locally.

One of the reasons I include veg. is that my 8 year old Cocker becomes very constipated if he has a lot of bone and I hate to see him so uncomfortable.
