Sneezing
« on: October 26, 2014, 09:37:26 AM »
My 8 month old Working Cocker Spaniel dog has been sneezing on and off for the past few days almost like hay fever in humans. Nothing has changed at home or on his regular walks as far as I am aware.  He seems his usual self otherwise with no other signs of illness.  Has anyone else experienced this please?  I don't really want to take him to the vets if it's simply acold or similar.

Have you managed to look up his nose, you would be surprised at what you can find up there :005:

I ended up taking Stella in for this as she kept sneezing for a while and there was no cause we could see and while we never got to the bottom of it the nasal tissues were inflamed (we had to resort to flushing her nose with saline under sedation)

Last winter my girls all had a spell of sneezing. My vet diagnosed a strain of "Kennel cough" that was going around at the time.
