what will get rid of tear stains?
« on: November 13, 2014, 02:52:41 PM »
they are quite noticeable on our golden, although our black girl doesn't have any at all

they have both had a health check at the vets 2 weeks ago and he said they were "normal" and just to clean the eye area with warm water, I have been doing but this doesn't seem to get rid of it

any tips please? :)

A friend has a Bishonpoo who had tear stains, she was told to give him filtered water to drink and the stains gave now gone.

William had quite bad tear staining as a younger dog, but we adopted the use of filtered water which has cleared the problem up.

The proof is in the seeing.

Here he is at 12 months plus, the staining is quite marked.

Here he is in a recent similar shot at 32 months, no staining.

Worth a try I think  :D
