How did you get on?
Well its not kennel cough, a very nice locum Vet sounded George's heart, it was a bit faster than usual, but no sounds of any murmurs or crackling her words. She took a blood test, which will determine if there anything wrong with his heart ph34r fingers and paws crossed, its is clear, she has given me some antibitoics, just in case of any infection. his temperature was slightly raised and he is supposed to be on complete rest until the results come through. Although i had to take him for a very slow relaxed walk this morning as he will not do a poo in the garden. Hamish came with us and as usual was running around like a 2 year old, so at least i did not feel guilty about him not having a decent walk. unfortunately, i do not have enought time to do two seperate walks in the morning before work. 4.30 wake up call is earlier enough as it is :shades: He still had a bit of a cough this morning, but seem to sleep a little more soundly last night ;)
OH will be home from work soon, so i leave him in his capable care. I shall update again, when i hear again. Once again, thank you all so much for your love and positive thoughts :luv:

Hope the meds kick in fast and George is back to normal very soon.

Maybe some Manuka honey might help get rid of the cough  ;)

Get well soon George - hope it's just a silly virus that passes quickly, Pearl has had a number of these (only cause given as she's had a lot of tests all with normal results)

Monty had a strange "cough" last year.  It really wasn't a cough as such, more like he was trying to get out something stuck in his throat?  Anyway, the vet confirmed it wasn't KC (after we snuck in the back door!) but thought something had maybe grazed his throat area so he was given anti b's/anti inflammatory and all was well within a few days or so.   Hope he's feeling better soon.
Both taken away from us far too soon. x  RIP Angels Odie & Archie, causing mayhem at the Rainbow, no doubt!

Our springer Archie has had this cough too.  Like he was trying to clear his throat.  We took him to the vet for a check over not KC.  We didn't have any meds for him but advised to keep him warm & have a lighter excercise regime for a while.  We have also been giving him a teaspoon of manuka honey to help his throat.
It has taken a couple of weeks to clear up but it's much better now.  Hope George gets better soon.

I was told about honey years ago, I just use a runny honey small teaspoon - Ollie sometimes has this clearing his throat hoarse thing and the honey stops it.

Sending :bigarmhug: to George

Thanks for asking Joules, he is still coughing slightly and does get a bit out of breath at times.for instance climbing the stairs >:( we are taking things really slowly. he is on anitibiotics. still no news from the Vets, although, they did ring up to see how he was. Nothing wrong with his appetite. it is the waiting for the results, fingers and paws crossed :shades:
