You must report this to the RCVS.

This may or may not be neglect but either way, it must be investigated.

I agree....if one positive thing can come from such a desperately sad situation then its the knowledge that you spoke out to stop this happening again.

Sending you alot of love at this sad time :luv: :'(

Totally agree with what Tori said, I understand you can't bring her back but please take comfort in the fact that you didn't fail her, you took her to the vets in complete confidence that she would be properly cared for. You are also fighting for her with your complaint.

So sorry that this happened, I hope that Blue brings you comfort.

What a tragic series of events, I am so very very sorry for your loss and all that you have had to endure as a result.

I hope you get some answers from RCVS and that your actions at the very least prevent it happening to someone else.

Take care xxx

OMG what a terrible story - sounds like the vets have behaved disgracefully  >:D

Hope you get some answers from them and at least they take responsibility for their appalling incompetence and you get some assurance that this will not happen to someone else >:(

So sorry for you and Rio though - it must be heartbreaking  :'(

Yes me too, it is a terrible tale - but one which needed telling to make everyone aware of what could happen. Best wishes

My heart goes out to you and Rio, nothing can take away from the pain of your loss but thank you for sharing your experiences, if it makes just one person think twice about the care their dog is recieving something good will have come from her short life.  I hope you get the result from the Vet that you wish for and that you find some comfort in knowing you did everything for her in 'good faith'

Take care of yourself and {{{ :luv:}}} to you all.

I'm so sorry, I'd be the same as you I'd be fighting for justice for Rosie and making sure this never happened again. I'd be wanting some serious answers for a catalogue of errors.
Thinking of you. :'(

Truly shocking story.  I do hope that you get to the bottom of this and hopefully prevent somebody else being in the same situation.

Run free wee Rosie  :'(
