Bleeding at the end of a season?
« on: April 24, 2009, 06:56:24 PM »
Millies been is season for three weeks now and is still doing the flirty tail to one side thing if I touch near her rear end. The discharge has been clear or pink tinged for the last week but today she is bleeding again. It is bright red and smells very strongly (of blood!), I can even smell it when I'm sat on the sofa and she's led on the floor. She's never done this before, and usually she's only flirty for a few days - should I be worried? Oh and in the past she is has been well over the season by the end of week three.

It's probably nothing to worry about but I would give the vets a ring, just to be on the safe side. They'll be able to tell you if it's normal or not, or may just want to check her over. You can never be too careful when it comes to their health   :luv:
(Sorry....don't know if that's any help or not? You've probably thought of that already  ;) )
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!
