Bathing a small wound

Hi our 12 month old Pup has a small wound on his muzzle.
It doesn't look to serous nor does it look infected.
What is the best way to bathe the wound.
We were going to clean it with a mild solution of soap and water but any advice would be welcome.

I would use warm water with salt dissolved in it  ;)
