salt water solution proportions
« on: January 23, 2010, 12:56:42 PM »
I can't remember if it's a teaspoon or tablespoon of salt to a pint of warm water for bathing wounds  :dunno: - hoping someone else might know. Cheers  :shades:

I use about 1/4 tsp non-iodized sea salt per cup of warm water if that's any help  :lol2:

According to my vet it's one teaspoon per pint.

Just wondering - why non-iodized salt?  I think we only have iodized salt in the house!!

Gracie (our 4 month old) has a very sore looking post-spaying wound that the vet suggested the only thing i could use would be salt water... but didn't specifically say non-iodized...

I've only bathed it once - but now I am a bit worried... I hope I haven't made things worse using iodized!!!
