Some sad news this month. The left eye is tearing as normal but the right eye has dropped from 9mm to 2mm. This is very disheartening. There is a slight possibility of the high pollen count and warm weather affecting it but not much. He's still on 2 drops per day in the right eye and the vet wants me to go back to the Lacrilube a few times a day too.
She feels the blocked tear duct is the cause of the nose issue. What she feels is as there is almost no tears the gunk in the nose which usually drains down and flushes out is draining down the back of the nose and causing the excessive slobbering he has on the right side. This is not helped by the right lip fold which is very drooped and will need surgery in due course.
The vet is going to attempt to flush Tali's tear ducts in a few weeks under a local rather than general.
