What flea treatment to use

I use Billy no mates all year so it stays in his system and not had any fleas or ticks, I use it even in winter when we have 4 ft of snow.  In summer we use a scalibor collar.  I hate putting chemicals into his body, but unfortunately sometimes we have to.

Do not use Advantix if you have cats! Cats cannot have it or be around it.

I had treated my dogs with Advantix and the cats with Advantage. One of my cats likes to share a bed with my old girl, and often grooms her. 24 hours after everyone being treated and the cat being with Jewel, she was in the emergency clinic having non-stop seizures!  Fortunately after getting IV fluids, a muscle relaxant and a bath she was fine and now is doing great, but what a scare!
