In a word no! Kennel Club guidelines are that whiskers should be left, unless, it's part of the breed standard to trim them - it's not part of the cocker spaniel Standard!
Pearl had hers cut at a groomers around four years ago. It was that incident (and the groomers going out of business) prompted me to go elsewhere. The new groomer used to breed and show cockers many years ago and has quite strong views on what's right
. Whiskers are there to help the dog sense space.....they do grow back tho
