Barking at everything

Hello I'm after a bit of advice our 6month puppy has started to bark at everything mainly her reflection in the patio door  from inside the house, but now birds flying overhead and randomly barking in the garden we do have a lot of cats in the neighbourhood so wandering if she's sensing them.
We are able to distract her with toys or treats etc but not sure if this is just a faze ? And if anyone has had similar issues ? She is also quite reactive to other dogs and would like to try and get this under control but I'm guessing both issues are connected.

I try to ignore all barking. If I react to it in any way it usually result in more barking. The last thing you want is for pup to think that barking equals attention.

Hopefully they will grow out of it :blink:

Yea its difficult to ignore I have been walking out of the room although she follows me and does go quiet, but then 2mins later back to barking at her reflection 😔
I think it's mainly that she needs socialising with other dogs.

Does she have a crate, if so a bit of time in there each time she starts might help and of course walking away.

Be a bit careful of using treats as a distraction, she might start and interpret the treat as a reward for barking. If you can,  distract with a toy or encourage her to come to you or play, or sit, or whatever and then treat her as reward for not barking. The idea is to offer an alternative behaviour to that what she‘s doing and then reward her for doing that properly. Its not always as easy as the training instructions will have you believe  :005: but I learned the hard way that treats can actually be contra productive if you don’t get the timing right. :huh: ( My dog is nearly 8, CAN do lots of things but only when he wants to and if he gets „paid“  :lol2: :lol2:)!!
