I didn't get an email either. It was just a pop up message when I turned my laptop on.
Thanks Gilly - tried that and still got the same message Do you think I should get rid of AVG completely and then install from scratch? I'm just worried that I won't be protected! I managed the upgrade at work with no problems so don't know whats going on with my home one

I managed the upgrade at work with no problems so don't know whats going on with my home one If you download the application, disconnect from the internet, run a virus check on your system with the old software and then de-install the old version and reinstall the new version, there's no way you can pick up any nasties Just make sure you don't plug the internet back in until you know the new software is working
