Melissa 12 weeks old at Many Tears

http://www.manytears.co.uk/

15-11-11 Melissa is a sweet 12 week old cocker spaniel pup. Sadly she has been returned to Many Tears as the resident dog at her new home would not accept her in the house. She is a lively pup, but gets worn out very quickly. When you she her charging around the house it easy to forget that her eye sight is very poor and she has only 3 legs. No one has told Melissa that she should take things a little easy. She gets on great with the other dogs in the house and enjoys being made a fuss of by our young children. She will need a home with a calm dog who can show her the ropes. She is a real cuddler and will make someone an absolutely brilliant companion.

BEING FOSTERED IN SWANSEA
This dog is by donation rather than the full adoption fee.  However please make your donation a reasonable one in line with the costs that have been incurred.  All our dogs are micro-chipped, have  had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so.  We will be happy to discuss the cost of any medical procedures that have been carried out. Please read our Adoption Procedures before applying and then complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours.  If successful you will be home checked and all members of the family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog you want to adopt MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt.

Not sure what happened to the other thread? To avoid any confusion, I did apply for Melissa but Captain Sensible OH said it'd be best to wait a little while as we are very busy at the moment and over the next few weeks. I called MT today and although we would be able to give her a good home, it probably wouldn't be the perfect home. If Melissa doesn't find a good home by mid December we will call back, as we are both off work for over two weeks over the Christmas break and planning on spending it quietly at home after a hectic time beforehand.

Anyways, anyone who wants to rehome Melissa, PLEASE do so, as we really don't "need" a third dog, but it breaks my heart that she may be left without of a forever home because of her disabilities  :'(

I've been having the same feelings about this little one :luv: and even completed the adoption form...
However, dh won't agree to applying to adopt her though and tbh it isn't the best time for us- we go away in 3 weeks for 4 nights. Our garden isn't ideal- steep steps, steep incline to steep woods to a steep countrypark :-\

We WOULD like a 3rd dog as our Ellie went to the bridge 3 years ago, but we had said we'd wait until next Sept. What will be will be.

Hope she finds her perfect home very soon, she is a poppet :luv:
