Title: What to feed puppy fed on raw after being sick...
Post by: Gertie on October 29, 2014, 07:05:56 PM
I fed my 6 month old puppy with 80% normal mince and a small sardine for breakfast this am.  It was the first time she had a sardine (in oil if that makes a difference with oil drained off).  Nothing else to eat that I know about  :005:apart from 2biscuits at the vets and half an apple core this pm (stolen!) and then sick which looked like breakfast.

What do I feed her now, she is hungry so  I have given her some of her normal mince, I am sure it is one of those puppy things but paranoid worried owner here has realised I do not know what to feed her when she is ill .  ps have got some rice cooking

I have found fish often makes a reappearance. Penny eats it again :020: It usually stays down the second time. I wouldn't worry too much unless vomiting continues.

Coco is raw fed but if she has an upset tum I usually give her boiled chicken or white fish with boiled rice until things have settled down a bit.  ;)

Well she wanted to eat it, but I wouldn't let her.  Might steer clear of sardines if they are destined to reappear!  She has been fine on salmon and loves the salmon skin left overs.

It might have been the oil that upset her :dunno:  Coco has tinned sardines in tomato sauce  ;)

Thank you, yes I was wondering about the oil.  She is a bit quiet this morning, will see how she goes.
