Title: Taking resource guarding too far!!!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: kb on June 22, 2006, 05:16:49 PM
I was upstairs on the col forum and I heard Honey growling. My eldest shouted to come quickly as Honey was doing something horrible. With dread I went down (half expecting to find her with a dead bird or something) and there she was standing in the dining room, growling at us. What was she guarding - a pile of "vomit".

I went to get stuff to clean it up and when I approached, continuing to growl (not me, the dog ;)) she pounced on it trying to eat it. I moved her away and cleaned it up and then she came back in sniffing around and looking very disappointed that it was gone!

It seems that hide chews and apple don't mix very well :shades: - I am not sure it would have done any better second time around :005:.

 Do they all do this?

Snoopy also eats his, unless I or OH can get there first, he has been known to let the cat share too, but that's only when it's not been something nice that he's brought back up...... :005:

Bella doesn't eat her own vomit but the cat's is a firm favourite - the cat doesn't tend to chew her food, just swallows it whole and brings it up straight away, so as far as Bella sees it it's like a nicely warmed ready meal   ::)
