Separation Anxiety
« on: January 02, 2021, 01:03:25 AM »
Something i've never come across before so i need some help please.

Bailey is a rescue we've had since Sept i have a thread in general about our how its going.

I think he might be developing separation anxiety when my Mrs isn't here although im with him all pretty much 24/7 apart from when i go for a run etc

He's fine all day when she comes home from work at her normal time but recently he has started to get all worked up if she's been a few hours late coming home pacing about and sitting at the front door waiting for her.

Anyone be able to give advice on this please ?

Can‘t really offer any advice but just wanted to throw in a bit of food for thought for thought..
I read a facinating book recently from Rupert Sheldrake „Dogs that know when their owners are coming home“ in which he analyses thousands of reports of animals, particularly dogs, who display signs of a sixth sense or telepathy. I know the notion is nothing new, some will pass it off as humbug, others are totally convinced, personally I‘m open to everything until its been totally disproved.
The question I‘d ask is, does Bailey have separation anxiety or just showing signs of anticipation?

I hope someone else might be able to offer some more constructive help, I just thought this might be an interesting topic for discusiion?
