Billy is in the swiss dog house...

OH bought a great big fat freshly made swiss roll from the supermarket today. It is huge and is  filled with fresh cream and lots of strawberry jam  .

 He's been looking forward to it all day but has been saving it until after dinner. We've just finished dinner ( late I know!) and OH has gone to the fridge and got out his swiss roll.  He opened the packet and went to the freezer to get the ice cream and when he came back his swiss roll had gone    All that is remaining is the plastic container on the floor next to a happy lip licking cocker spaniel  . OH is not one bit amused and is now ignoring Billy , and me too now as i told he he was stupid for leaving it on the edge of the worktop.
 OH is now sulking big time, the funniest thing is  as we are sat here watching TV Billy keeps walking past OH licking his lips as if to say "mmmhhhh that was nice"

  it's so funny. Billy is now lying down having a little kip, his belly is full and he's happy as larry  .Every now and then he lifts his little head, looks at us , licks his lips again and goes back to sleep. OH has had to resort to a frozen ice lolly .

My OH insists on leaving things right on the edge of the worktop and goes nuts when Jasper's nose suddenly appears into view!! Men!

Nice one Billy A couple of years ago Vegas swiped the cheesecake that was defrosting for my christmas pudding so I can sympathise with your OH a little bit. There is nothing worse than looking forward to something all day and then not being able to have it for whatever reason!

Billy was forgiven last night  OH can't stay mad at him for long, he can't ignore that sad face and big brown eyes so they are best of buddies again now and OH has seen the funny side

Oh that is sooooooooo funny - good for Billy!!!!  We've just been laughing at your original post from last night!!!!

My mum's friend's red setter stole the sunday lunch leg of lamb once that was sitting resting on the worktop - legged it down the garden with it & had a lovely feast behind the shed!!
