He seems a bit better in himself now. Really keen for me to throw his ball for him this morning.

I tried the 2 poop bags, it worked pretty well but didn't cope with the cinder path. Still, his paw only got wet, not as muddy as the others. So thanks for suggesting them.

If it wasn't for the rustling I would try them on all 4 paws!

Still bathing his toe. Not sure but it might have stopped discharging. Which could be good or bad, but as he's on the antibiotics it's probably good.

Annette, I've been putting socks on Parker, held on with selotape and then wrapped duck tape over them to keep the socks dry.  It works very well and keeps the socks on! 

Lisa, thanks for the info on the boots, I think if this is going to be a long term problem we'll have to have something more permanent than socks and duck tape!!  We're back at the specialist tomorrow to get his stitches out and have a check up so I'll see what he has to say.  I'd be interested in the link though, thanks!
