Hi everyone, I joined this forum by searching via Google and asking the following question: "are all Cockers so talkative?" and I found my answer on here
My Eds chats and groans all day long keeping me company and distracting me from my work
. He is a rescue, but in truth he rescued me! I have had him 3 years now and I can't imagine how I ever managed without him.
Sadly he is dog reactive and shows some fear aggression to other dogs - but I manage him very well (after a lot of training and soul searching and reading up on doggie behaviour and discovering a water pistol!!). He is however, best friends with my parent's dog Woody (a gorgeous, patient Flatcoat retriever) Our problem is mainly random friendly bigger dogs who bound up to us and want to be friends, so our Walks are solitary affairs in remote, quiet

but I find it the best approach and also places where I can see far ahead and have alternative paths to take should I spot another dog in the distance!!
I never had a Cocker before, and I am still learning all about their ways and what a great breed they are!
Hope to learn more on here!
Cheers
Emma
