I am pleased, so far. I think I'll get a better idea of how it's working when they take them offsite on little outings which will be next week as far as I understand.
I'm also told Sapphie will be sad to leave Larry the Lhasa Apso who is her special friend!

Today's cuddles (I've now worked out that Lottie does nothing but follow the people around when she's out on her exercise!)

Cheesy grin

Spaniels are very needy, LOL

Just caught up on your updates and things certainly look good. You must be so pleased things are working out now. You've had a tough time and it's great to see them mixing with the other dogs   :D

Success offsite, apparently she even ignored a barking Schnauzer.

Picking them up on Saturday and I can't wait.

Haha, there was another photo after that and the people had moved so contrary to appearances they must in fact be alive!
It will be very interesting to see the differences, and obviously I hope that the transfer to being with me again can be smooth and not set them back. But Lottie is still quite un-doggy I think. She doesn't interact with the other dogs I don't think and she sits in front of whoever is out with them and waits until she gets a cuddle. It's a shame for Sapphie who would love another dog to play with, but she is what she is I guess.

So glad this has been a success and you will soon have the family home. Will they give any on going support from here?

Hope Saturday is a great success.  :D

Yes there is supposed to be 6 months of support from the trainer. Don't know what it involves yet though.

Well they are home and certainly at the moment at least I'm very pleased indeed. I spent about 3 hours there on 'owner training', and went through all the commands with both dogs, and gradually introduced numerous dogs to them. I met a lovely chocolate cocker puppy and Lottie didn't mind me fussing him as long as I fussed her at the same time. We tried meeting and greeting people but she wasn't interested in meeting them, only sitting in front of me. But there was no negative reaction. A couple of puggles were very bouncy indeed but got no reaction. We then drove into Rugby town centre and I took her through - there was even a market on so it was busy and noisy. Perfect! So we shall see what the next few weeks brings but certainly at the moment I'm more than satisfied.
