Fingers crossed that Ruby is ok and passes the screw, lovely to have to dig about in poo. Rufus decided to eat a fairy light on New Years day, gave him some bread as advised by the emergency vet to cushion it's passage (pardon the pun) which did the trick as all bits passed successfully.

Morning all, thanks for all your replies  :luv:  Well she slept well all night (me not so well!) and is her usual bouncy self this morning  :D

No sign of the screw in her poo  :020:  so I'll check the next one!  The vet did say it may take a few days to appear.  She didn't advise an xray at this point as she thinks it should pass through.

Meanwhile, I'm going to pull all the furniture out and have a good look now it's daylight.  She has a groomers appointment today, just a shampoo & tidy up.  As she seems OK in herself I'm thinking I'll still take her?  The groomer is just up the road from our vet and I will let her know what has happened.

Everything crossed here that either you find the little blighter or it passes through quickly.  I know where you are, Maggie stole two cooked chicken leg bones from the bin a couple of months ago and I know she chews bones as she's raw fed.  I was worried sick for a couple of days that a splinter would damage her on the way through but she was fine.
Big hugs from here.  :bigarmhug:

Keeping fingers and paws crossed that the screw appears one way or another - hopefully loged in a tiny crevice you haven't found yet. If your floors are all wood it could potentially have landed quite a long way away, so keep looking. I know the feeling of panic oh so well - Jonny once grabbed and ate a pill that was dropped and Jess once ate a bar of Green and Blacks dark chocolate.

I'd keep feeding her plenty of food to cushion the thing if it really is in her gut.

Dogs, they do put us through it don't they
One of our bookcases small metal door knobs fell off once I'm pretty certain Bella ate it as have never found it, I searched high and low for it even now 4 yrs on when I'm in that room tidying I look for it.

Hoping screw is found in your house somewhere, failing that successfully passed x

Gosh I hope all will be well and you will find the screw somewhere!

Its a pity we could just use a very sensitive metal detector so at least you could either find it in the house or in Ruby!

Hugs to you all, I bet you feel dreadful after your restless night!
