Wish Toby well for his op this afternoon. WE have had a few run ins with grass seeds with Dylan, one down ear attached to ear drum very painful. One between pads that one had to be flushed out., and one in corner of eye.  You can understand why I hate the darn things

Thanks so much for your good wishes.

The vet has just rung.  Toby has just woken up and i've got to ring back in an hour to see when he can come home.  The house is so empty without him and I can't wait to hug him.

It was a large grass seed, it's been saved for me to see.  

It has caused a puncture but the vet is hopeful all will heal without too much of a problem but until then great care has got to taken with his ear.  Time will tell I suppose.

I'll post a pic of the evil seed later and thanks for your kind wishes everyone.

Poor baby, I hope he recovers quickly from the GA, and isn't in too much discomfort . If it's any help, Brodie lost both eardrums to infection and both grew back, I hope it's the same for Toby

Ingenious....and a great price. Thanks again - I'd seen Cockers wearing them but for some reason my mind didn't make the link that they'd be grass-seed protection. I'm ordering one from the recommended link payday this week, I'm paranoid about stopping mid-walk to check his ears & brush him each time we're back indoors.

He's home now and full of the joys of Spring.  I was expecting him to be a trembling wreck but so far so good and he's out on a little walk now with OH, wearing a snood.

Tobe's has got some anti inflam anti bac tablets and has got to go for a check up next Monday.  We are just praying there is no long term damage to his ear but time will tell.

Thanks for all your messages and please get those snoods on your cockers.

Thanks for posting the link.  It must be Trudes Snoods, she's a very helpful lady.  Tobes has got thin cotton ones for warm weather and waterproof(ish) ones as well.
