Glad he's ok. Ro managed to get grass seeds in his ears twice in 10 days a couple of years ago - both times out of hours - and the second one was halfway through his eardrum by the time I got him to the vet (about an hour after it happened) and he was fine, there was no lasting damage at all.

Thanks for posting the link.  It must be Trudes Snoods, she's a very helpful lady.  Tobes has got thin cotton ones for warm weather and waterproof(ish) ones as well.

I'm definately paranoid now - I put his snood on just for playing in the garden.   

He seems fine and he's got a brand new toy waiting for him when he gets back from his walk.
