Since Lara was last in the vets, things were a bit up and down, back to the vets a few times. We seemed to be okish, but went downhill in the last few days. Took her to the vet on Saturday and he wanted her back in for another x-ray. So off we went this morning. The x-ray showed liver and spleen still enlarged, the bowel is thickened, and there is a dense patch up toward her stomach. There is a bit of bowel that looks like a hose. An ultrasound was then done, it showed that the pyloris (which is the bit that leaves the stomach) is thickened as is the intestine attached to it.
Bloods show a raised white cell count, and all other indicators are normal.
Lara will have surgery tomorrow, probably in the morning. The vet will biopsy anything he thinks may be cancerous. May also take out and rejoin the bowel depending on the damage. The pyloris he will stretch ( I think). Praying there is nothing he wants to biopsy.
