Double teeth
« on: November 21, 2013, 12:43:17 PM »
Murphy's front top and bottom teeth have fallen out the last week and his adult teeth are coming through.

I have just noticed that two of his baby teeth on the bottom have not fallen out and his adult teeth are coming through behind. Will the baby teeth fall out on their own or will they need some help from the vet?

They'll probably fall out once the adult teeth come through a bit more, so just keep an eye on them for the time being

Same happened to my friends greyhound. They fell out on their own - took a few weeks though.

Agree, they should come out on their own as the adult ones come through

This happened to Archie. The vet was concerned and warned that the baby teeth might need to be removed surgically but in the end they just fell out on their own. No lasting effect on Mr A's pearly whites!

Years ago we bought in a pup that had 2 sets of adult bottom canines, she had to have one set removed.
