My heart goes out to you. We lost our lovely Happy within 6 months of diagnosis of this horrible disease. Like so many have said I just felt she had come to that time and sat up all the night before cuddling her. She looked at me so deeply and intently and I think we both just knew. She wasnt unwell or in obvious pain either so I understand how hard it is. My thoughts are with you. It truly is the worst thing we have to do but it is the price we pay for loving them so much. I am so sorry to read about Jarvis, my heart goes out to you 

I lost my Harley boy very suddenly to this last year, his tumour wasn't found until too late so he had no chance of treatment.
I worried too whether I would know as he was still so lively and well, but I assure you you will. Don't ask me how, I think it's just there in that special bond we have with them.

Thanks very much for all your kind thoughts and good wishes, they are very much appreciated. Jarvis is still doing ok, he is still very bright We didn't expect to have this long with him so two and a half years later, every day is a bonus. Hopefully like everyone is telling me ,I will know when its time

Jarvis went to Rainbow bridge this morning Absolutely heartbroken and missing him so much, house not same without him. It was the hardest decision I had to make since he was still bright and his tail always wagging but he was having great difficulty when out on walks and I couldn't let that go on.
