William seems to think that he's back to normal and should be out and about off lead in the New Forest as usual, so he's a bit unsettled when he sees OH take Louis out, and whines and paces for a while. I've been distracting him with a bit of peanut butter or mashed banana in a kong, or a game finding tiny bits of treat out on the lawn.
He had a post op. check with my usual vet on Monday and I also had a phone call then from the specialist who did the surgery. Both are pleased with his progress and my usual vet was very impressed with the surgeon's handiwork and that she'd glued the incision sites instead of using stitches. That's probably why he hasn't had an itchy bum
His pooing still isn't back to normal, but apparently that's to be expected and can take a couple of weeks to settle. He knows when he wants to go and trots into the garden but then struggles a bit. He's not constipated and straining, but doesn't seem able to fully get rid of what's trying to come out, so we're having to clean him most times. I think the muscles are still a bit weak there
but that should improve.
